I’M ORIENTAL

I’M ORIENTAL
Song
Lew Pollack
Harold Atteridge
Jerome H. Remick
Written in response to the colossal production called “Mecca” by Oscar Asche.

A chiropractic from old Cairo bound
From Illinois came to New York, saw the sights all around
She cried that show call’d Mecca is immense,
I’ve chiropractically lost all sense.

CHORUS:
I’m oriental as can be
Since that Mecca I went to see,
I’ve got that snaky shaky pose,
I wear a breast-plate goodness knows
I don’t wear any clothes,
I am an eastern bug,
Oriental as a rug,
I’m called Spearmint and the reason don’t you see,
For I’m wriggley just as wriggley as can be,
Mecca, Oh By Gee,
I’m oriental as can be.

I’M ORIENTAL
