The "burning sands would never grow cold" of the chorus reminds one of Ernest Ball's "Till the Sands of the Desert Grow Cold."(1911).

The "temples" are probably not Egyptian, but Indian in keeping with the orientalism.
Lyrics

Love and romance is calling to to me,
From desert lands far over the sea,
If my dreams could come true,
I'd be happy with you.

CHORUS:
In a tent, While the caravan is resting,
There content, I would be with your caressing,
With you alone on the desert sands,
Far away from where the temples stand,
In the spell of the oriental moonlight,
We would dream golden dreams dear the whole night through,
Love just like the burning sands would never grow cold,
In a tent with you.

Warm desert night revealing her charms,
Stars gleaming bright, and you in my arms,
Under those mystic skies,
We'd find our paradise.
