Notes
This lyric has every cliche but the camels and the Nile: the pyramids, the Sphinx, the oasis, but also the scarab and obelisk. The tom-toms are slightly out of place, but have the advantage of being recognizable to an American audience as "native" drums. "Moonlight" floods the land instead of the Nile.
The pattern of [western] man recalling Eastern maid who will be true to him until his return is another cliche of the genre as is the musical shift from a minor key in the verse to a major in the chorus.
Lyrics

I am dreaming of my oriental Sweetheart
Far away across the desert sands
'Neath the pyramids and obelisk of Egypt
It was there I won her heart and hand
Then soon I'll return to my loved one
For she's calling me her chieftain grand
I'll go back to the Sphinx and Scarab
To my Queen of the Caravan.

CHORUS:
Loving my lady of the pyramids,
Far away across the desert sands,
Hear the tom-toms sounding from afar
Moonlit sky aflooding all the land
Soon we'll be starting on love's journey
For I am hers to command
Loving my lady of the Pyramids,
My Queen of the Caravan.

I am longing for my oriental Sweetheart
By the Oasis and Palm trees grand
For I know that she will be there waiting
And watching for her Chieftain grand
Then soon I'll return to my Egypt,
And win once more her heart and hand
I will roam through that land of Romance
With my Queen of the Caravan.
